Necro VS. Lizards. 630k GS in inducements
Hi
I've got a game coming up between my Wedding Deadskins and the Lustrian Overlords
That means that I'll have 630k in inducements.
I'm thinking about using them as follows
1 Wizard 150k
1 Igor 100k
1 ReRoll 100k
Hack Enslash (since I just painted him and for fouling) 120k
1 Babe 50k
1 Bribe
What do you think? Should I chose something else?

Hopefully he has a weakness in rerolls:
300k Hotpot
100k 2x Boneweiser Babes
120k Hack-n-Slash
100k bribe
Make him play conservative, give yourself extra rerolls, and carve up his skinks with glee....
Also hope that Nuffle hates your opponent more than he hates me... then you will be sure to win...!

A different opponent would be nice, but it's in a league I'm afraid.Digger Goreman wrote:A different opponent?!Pedda wrote:Hi

Isn't the hotpot a bit risky? Say that I don't manage to steal any rerolls in the first half. I would then be playing with 300k less than him.
The value as such would also just be 1,5x(70k+60k)=195k<300k.
Don't get me wrong, I like the idea with the hotpot, but it's a gamble and I can't really afford to lose said gamble.
Thanks for the comment though. I'll run it through my head a couple of times. The game is on Saturday, so I've got some time to think

Re: Necro VS. Lizards. 630k GS in inducements
Got a look at your opponent's roster. A tough mother*#, but not terribly strong.
Chainsaw is good for fouling, but he's a glass cannon (with -3 to AV is all too easy target): can you defend him? And do you think you can foul against such a stronger opponent?
My hunch will be Wizard (spilled balls are a bane to Lizards) and some big bruiser like Ramtut or Count Luthor (+some babe). He got 2 Sidestep+diving tackle skinks: no way you can slip through sidestepping the Sauri wall.

Re: Necro VS. Lizards. 630k GS in inducements
I'm not a fan of the Chef for non-fling teams.
On the average you will steal 1.5 RRs each half, which works out to only (70+60)*1.5 = 195k...which is costly for 300k!
Against Lizards, I think a wizard could be highly valuable...but your team is so under developed compared to his.
For 630k I would suggest something like
150 Wizard
380 Ramtut
100 Two Babes/Bribe
or
150 Wizard
220 Setekh
120 Hack
100 Bribe
Basically, do you want to have the strongest player on the pitch (and ST6+BT can be...interesting)_ or a decent star in Setekh AND Hack for fouling? Without Hack you are probably only going to be able to get decent fouls on the skinks, with him your opponent can't afford to let his Sauruses get isolated either. And that makes the wizard even MORE valuable.
I'd probably go with the second lineup since you are so outmatched and need to take a saurus/krox off the field.

Re: Necro VS. Lizards. 630k GS in inducements
Since my opponent doesn't have more than one guard, I should be able to get a hit on one of the sauruses. If he lines them all up that is. If he doesn't, I should be able to isolate one of them and then foul. That's way I'd to have Hack one the team.swilhelm73 wrote:I'm not a fan of the Chef for non-fling teams.

I'm not sold on Setekh. He's decent, but not much more.
Maybe Ramtut III, Hack and a bribe. My goal would then be to get some of his stronger players out. Maybe even ignoring the ball all together in the first half and going for the 2-1 win.
Thanks for the comments so far guys. I've got some thinking to do

Re: Necro VS. Lizards. 630k GS in inducements
Merc Ghoul with tackle to whack those skinks. Risky but you lack any way to reliably get them over.
Also Merc zombie. Put zombies in the saurus an krox face along with your FG and Bat the skinks. You could get lucky. Chainsaw v skinks is a laugh. Put him on in your drive.
Two mercs 70 k zombie 120 k wight
110 chain merc leaves enough for a wiz that was and some babes.
Go for the skinks. If he cannot pick up the ball he cannot score. I think fighting his saurus is a fast way to lose. Get players up by killing skinks. Then use your block wolf on his unskilled Saurus. Then the skilled ones.
He will be trying to mb your wolves and ghoul if he is stupid enough to leave a killer exposed then kill him with the wolf and foul him off. If not then stick to plan a

Not a bad idea. He'd cost me 150k, but might be worth it.Heff wrote:Merc Ghoul with tackle to whack those skinks. Risky but you lack any way to reliably get them over.
Merc Ghoull with Tackle 150k
Ramtut III 380k
Igor or 2 Babes 100k
That would give me two players that won't normally be sent of.
Since it's the first game of the season I'm concerned that the team might take a lot of punishment, hence I'm leaning towards Igor

I was more thinking along the lines of werewolfs, golems or wights.Heff wrote:Zombies are there to die. You don't care stick them in his face smile and say "Bring it"
If all goes according to plan, I'll have an extra zombie on my roster after the game

Re: Necro VS. Lizards. 630k GS in inducements
If l were him and you brought Ram or a big ticket player l would thank baby Jesus and tie him up with a saurus. AV9 should keep him alive. This is what you want to do to him.
Put cheap crap in his face and play the numbers game. Rely on regen and let him play wakamole with your crud.
You need a wiz so he cannot cage and bribes to keep the chainsaw on. After that its the tackle ghoul and merc zombie.

Both Ramtut and Setekn have BT, so he can't necessarily tie them up with a Saurus...
I agree on the wizard though, against non-elves it is the best inducement...

Not near my rule book at the time. However I think that Ram don't have block and wrestle is not substitute. Also he is too slow v lizzies in my view. setekn is interesting with strip ball, that could cause real problems. He is a bit pricy though.swilhelm73 wrote:Both Ramtut and Setekn have BT, so he can't necessarily tie them up with a Saurus...

Wiz 150
Sek 220
Hack 120
Bribe 100
Sek is a tackle ghoul and a zombie. Giving 14 players v 13, though the ghoul is fragile. I would go with either of the above in the certain knowledge that the other one was the way to go.

Re: Necro VS. Lizards. 630k GS in inducements
The golems and zombies go toe to toe nd the wolves + ghoul + hack/seketh go straight for the skinks. That + str one being a prime target.. If he puts a mb saurus on the line put a flesh golem in his face. if not keep them off the line to go toe to toe with a saurus asap. This is an attrition game, can you get through his skinks before he gets through your zombies. If you can you could win this. If not you will lose.Pedda wrote:I was more thinking along the lines of werewolfs, golems or wights.Heff wrote:Zombies are there to die. You don't care stick them in his face smile and say "Bring it"
