Meh, tactics aren't necessarily cheesy, PM, the roster is pure gw bunk and suffers from power designing and unimaginative spamming.... Tournaments are the horns of a dilemma and a mess as you either cheeze or go sub-optimal.... Witness the snafu championship where the first 59 teams were Timmified.... So, in paying for a tourney, you do what you do....

Hope you won the paint competition....

I can say without false modesty that I doubt I was even close.

In person, this team doesn't look even as good as it does in these photos--it's just kind of busy-looking--and there were a couple of incredible-looking teams there, including these guys, who I loved. I'm happy with the way they looked, though, and thanks again for the kind words about them!

Testing out those little Slaters plastikard numbers on my shoulder pads rather than decals. Pretty happy with them.

I've spent tonight painting this bad boy... Just got the matt coat on him before bed. He'll be used as an Ugroth star player for my orcs in the league. When I go up against those dwarves I'm going to make it count!!!

W.I.P. of the limited edition miniature from the Bilbalicup VII (2010) which I got as a freebie at the Bilbalicup X a few weeks ago.

Not completely happy with the skin (first time I paint an orc!) and I anticipate difficulties with the orange dress. :-)

A very interesting solution to the numbers problem and quite liking the way your team is developing!

One question though: how good is the resin cast from Black Scorpion (bubbles, etc)?

Decided to extend my break from painting humans to do another star player for my orcs... The minis arrived a bit bent up from the post and as soon as I picked it up the goblin snapped off the bomb he was stood on. Instead of pinning it back on I decided to drill him a bit and make up a flight stand for him. I wish I'd made it a few mil taller but other than that I'm really pleased with how it has turned out so far! Another night of work and I think it'll look wicked.
