What star player miniatures do we need the most?

He's part of the Dark Elf team in the Impact! Campaign mid year. I would imagine he'll show when Tom's circumstances return to normal.

I voted for:
Lottabottol - There's a complete lack of Slann stars out there. Could've picked Quetzal laep for same reason but prefer Lottabottol as both a star and pun name.

Zara - I'd really like to see a Zara who looks AV8, rather than a themed exotic dancer. Given that lots of teams can hire her, even if you do sculpt a Zara the Nip-slip-imminent, it should sell well.

Boomer - Because I want the guy on the right in miniature form.

Calling an audible: Given how awesome your treemen look, I'd love you to sculpt a Deeproot (but his name wasn't on the ballot).

Look forward to seeing your next sculpt, no matter who it is.

There are loads of sketches /artwork / ideas from the old rulebooks that I would like see produced in miniature form but sadly most of the miniature companies produce the same stars over and over again

Dont get me wrong the stars are often sculpted and executed very well but I just crave something different

I have now got to the point when the bulk of my purchases are tournament miniatures because they generally produce their own new stars

The above sketch with the dwarf holding a gunpowder keg / tnt barrel would be a great Boomer though. It getsmy vote

And Hucker, I think deeproot is also covered by what Impact is already selling.

I'd avoid star players that don't get used much if you're thinking of the commercial aspects.

Good point, though if they are just fancy versions of existing positionals such as Grim, Roxanna, Griff, Hubris etc then they could work as team captains as well.

Hmm.. as it looks now J Earlice is in the lead, which is good because I can get away with modelling the hands a tiny bit bigger. I must admit Zara is intruiging, 1: because she's available to a lot of teams 2: because she's ST4 which means she can be more athletic/armored than all those wannabe strippers in the BB universe. 3: She may have smaller hands, but I can model them around stakes which is a lot easier than openhanded claws. Problem is, she only has 3% of the votes... hmmm, decisions decisions. Well, I'll leave the poll running for a few more days. For the people who voted on star players that are already in the Impact! line; I set the poll so you can keep changing your votes. So if you want your vote to count, please reassign

Wow, do people really use Willow Rosebark that much? Hm, well I'll do some sketches of Earlice, Zara and Willow soon. I must warn you though, that I do have a couple of projects I need to get out the door before I can get started on the modelling.

In general I use the cheaper stars more than the pricey ones, especially with teams like Skaven. Is what cripples them for me in the the cynanide leagues!

Probably Zara is rated so low because there are already plenty of alternate miniatures to use as Zara (Ranging from obvious original Zara inspired models to just about any human female FF model).

I voted for the less common ones like Crazy Igor and J Earlice if only to add variety to what is available.

Size is a huge thing though. I disliked some of the Impact Stars immediately because they were absolutely huge (If I recall, the Hobgoblin putting the boot in and Sinnedbad suffer from this). Can't use models like that if they aren't going to fit the size of your team. It's also why I'm wary of Willy Mini's unless the team is going to be made up of mostly Willy miniatures as I know they have a record of making quite large miniatures.

It would be interesting to see how many existing models have been released by the various companies to represent the stars

Some stars now have 5 or 6 miniatures (over the various companies)
