Halflings!

Post by Skummy »

That's right, Halflings! They really need some punching up, and with GW planning to release new models of just about every team, why not give the little stunties a big hand on the pitch?

I propose a new Halfling team that looks a little something like this:

0-12 30,000 Halflings 3 2 4 7 Stunty, Right Stuff, Dodge G,A
0-2 40,000 Hafling Blitzers 4 2 4 7 Stunty, Right Stuff, Block, Dodge, Dauntless G,A
0-2 40,000 Halfling Catchers 4 2 5 7 Stunty, Right Stuff, Dodge, Nerves of Steel G,A
0-2 110,000 Treemen 2 6 1 10 Take Root, Stand Firm, Mighty Blow, Throw Team-Mate, Thick Skull

That's an awesome idea! I love the 4 AG, this is just what the little guys need. The low movement combined with high agility would make for a really interesting play style, and throwing the little guys around would be a blast!

What's the RR cost btw?

Pick up on a 2+. Dodge anywhere - regardless of tackle zones - on a 2+. Access to sprint and sure feet as normal skills giving an effective MA of 8 each.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overpowered mate.

I would prefer :-

0-10 Halfling Linemen 5-2-3-6 Stunty, Right Stuff (G,AG)
0-6 Halfling Catchers 6-2-3-6 Dodge, Right Stuff, Stunty, Catch (AG) 0-2 Treemen.

Bit like my Goblin team idea :-

0-10 Goblin Linemen 5-3-2-7 Stunty (G)
0-6 Goblin Catchers 6-2-3-6 Right Stuff, Dodge, Stunty (Ag)
0-2 Trolls

Halflings are fine as they are. In fact, if i were to change them, it would be to make them worse, so they could fit the fluff better.

I'd like to se some weak Halfling positional players, just because playing a rookie 'fling team can be hella boring.

Something like:

Halfling Runner 40k - 5 2 3 6 - Right Stuff, Stunty, Dodge, Sprint
or
Halfling Tackle 40k - 5 2 3 6 - Right Stuff, Stunty, Dodge, Diving Tackle

Well I could be wrong, but I reckon Skummy's post is an April Fools. He seems a very experienced player, and so will know that halflings are only meant to have a 20% win ratio and as such this team would be far too competitive.
I hope I'm right...
Oh and if we went for a more "realistic" halfling roster, I would agree with Balrog, in that it would be nice to have some slightly more varied players.

 Damn, I was hoping nobody would catch on until tomorrow! Figured that if nobody else was going to post a silly roster for April 1st, I might as well.

Khail, thanks for the assist.

Cool, its 9pm now, if i'd read that this morning before the rest of the posts i'm pretty sure i'd have fallen for it.

Hmm April Fool. I sense another Amazon catcher to Partner Naked Tuesday, Min Gita & Geron YurBackuvitch. At this rate i'll have the whole squad by next year
