For the same price you lose a point of MA and access to Strength skills (critical to Blitzers), and you gain Regenrate (whoopee!).

Now, compare the Wight to the Orc Blitzer:
Orc Blitzer 80k - 6 3 3 9 - Block (General, Strength)

The Wight loses a point of armour and access to strength skills, gains regenerate and costs 10k more!!
Isolated comparison is always tough and might be missleading. Look for example elsewhere to find threads about the dark elf/ high elf thrower and their cost difference. :-?

You also didn't mention in your example that a human blitzer gets MA+1 and AV-1, compared to the Orc blitzer. Still, they cost extra 10k. Why? Are human blitzer overprized? :o

Wights not only 'gain' regeneration and 'loose' the access to strength skills. They also have AG3 which is a factor in this team as well. And of course MA6. However, your comparison does not take this into account. Think of constantly dodging with a zombie for a blitz. Not to mention the GFIs. :o

I won some impressive titles in 198X, some more in 199X, even more impressive titles in 200X, some of them REALLY impressive, and a few even MORE impressive! Not to mention a lot of less impressive ones.

Have a look the pricing guide.

Wights are slightly overpriced (10k), but if you look at the Undead team it is balanced. Anyway, give it another 6 months and there wont be an Undead team.

And then we can have another fabulous discussion about how the Necromantic team is Under/Overpowered  :D

Great, we lose 1 balanced team for 3 broken teams...thats what I call progress. Lets hope someone at Fanatic sobers up long enough to put a stop to it.

True, isolated comparisons can be misleading, but in this case I wanted to make an isolated comparison just to show that the Wight, on his own, is overpriced. I don't mean to say that he's not worth the money, or that he is not a good player, on the contrary, I believe Wights rock. However, they are expensive for what you get, stat differences aside, it's the lack of access to strength skills that really hurts (although in context with the team it's balanced).

who cares what fanatic does? just ignore them and maybe they'll wise up. afaic, if it doesn't go thru the bbrc and into the lrb it isn't official, no matter how many minis or GW reps disagree. :)

The Undead are a very good team. They always place in the top 5 of any leuage or tournament I have been to. Only wood Elves have doen so well in my experiance.

As for the overpricing of the Wight, many players are overpriced but this is made up for by underpricing of others or special rules. If you are going to start complaining about Wights, I will break out the Dark Elves instead and they have it even worse off.
