Which Catcher do you prefer for the Pro Elf team?

Post by Balrog »

The choice is simple, do you prefer Catcher A or Catcher B for the new Pro Elves?

Catcher A

Code: Select all

# Position Cost MA ST AG AV Skills & Traits Skills Available
0-4 Catcher 100,000 8 3 4 7 Catch, Nerves of Steel General, Agility
Catcher B

Code: Select all

# Position Cost MA ST AG AV Skills & Traits Skills Available
0-4 Catcher 100,000 8 3 4 7 Catch, Leap General, Agility

I prefer catcher A, if he either loses 1MA, loses catch or increases in cost by 10k.

I much prefer catcher A, i'm not sure whether he needs to cost more but if he does I could live with it. I wouldn't like to see him lose an MA though.

BTW, any chance of a poll on this thread?

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".

I agree with Zombie 100%.

I don't like Catchers that start with Leap, but I like the NoS Catchers IF they are properly adjusted elsewhere.

But, according to the BBRC, we don't have a choice in the matter. They are the ones who make all the rules, fair or unfair, balanced or unbalanced. (And yes, I said that spitefully)

catcher A no hesitation but -1MA or +10k
catcher B brings less flavour...

i perfer catcher a but i think nos is too powerful for an ag4 catcher to start with, hence i like a

so i voted b cause i would rather have the team balenced

Would you think a Wardancer was balanced if we submitted it now? Probably not, so I think the Catcher is fine, and with 6 positional players costing 100k+ it'll take them a while to get them all.

blodge is easier to deal with then nerves of steel, cause if you don't get them down then well still going to have those -1s to catch for every player you mark them with

Yeah, but it's a lot easier to do, a HE catcher needs only 1 skill to get there. I dunno, I just think the NoS catcher would be good, but not overpowered, I wish I could start playtesting this...

Perfer a)

Take the Catch skill away would be better (yeah, I know, catcher without catch skill, so what? We have blockers without the block skill already.)
