just as I said: mySQL is free. This is the site. You can download it there, and find documentation as well. On win2000 you can install it as a service (that's what I did). Then it automatically starts when the computer is booted.

I'm doing basically the same thing you are but in ASP.NET Still in the testing and playing but I have one working results page up. If it ends up as a quality set of pages I'll post the code for people to take/modify as they want.

Come back from the Dark Side. mySQL, PHP and Apache. All Open Source (i.e. completely free) and perfectly good for running a little old BBL.

ECBBL uses it all too.

BTW anyone wants a copy of the code & schema and I'm more than happy to hand it out (really awful PHP as I taught myself as I went along).

I do not think our fellow blood bowl fanatics would appreciate the discussion that this could degenerate into if we continued in this vein. Needless to say I'm a firm believer in using the tools at hand and ASP.net happened to be readily available and since my job switched over to it I can get away with writing the code at work, it's what i'm going to be using. I will downloafd the MySql though since that is a great alternative and hope I didn't come across as nasty in either this post or the question to RickA

Take a look at "The Halfling Scribe" http://bloodbowl.bei.t-online.de/scribe/

Its a well constructed Excel program, suitable for up to 32 teams.

This is what I use for my league (very small), and I think it's one of the best that I've seen.
