Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!
IMO to play, having played quite a few now (incl CD's), are Human, Undead and Dark Elf. Never played Skaven, but I should imagine they are good too. Orcs are good when they get going, but the rest are a bit too one dimensional and I think you have to really enjoy the Race. Dwarves I see as the veterans challenge. The ones I mentioned have a variety to their game which is appealing and unpredictable.
This should stir up a hornets nest!!

I enjoy most playing teams with different positions, must be a remainant of 2nd ed. in my head. But then I also enjoy Chaos Dwarves because of this odd mixture of players. I would like to play Lizardman and Chaos, too, but they seem hard work and boring at start.
I thought that the Chaos Dwarves were a good mix...variable speed and armor. But the fact that I went undefeated in two season with them doesn't sway my vote any...

The end-zone “line of death” does not discriminate when one tempts fate by using a “go for it” to pass over it.
Lately, I've been having the most fun playing Goblins in the 2 leagues I run. Every "moment of glory" becomes magnified when you are coaching the little green guys.
I tend to have the most fun with elves and skaven. Fast moving and with enough agility to pull off those silly plays involving stupid dodges and long passes. I just find them more enjoyable.
Blood Bowl game - $60
Cost of a Human Team - $40
The look on your opponents face as his one-turn scorer gets taken down by a thrown rock from the fans – Priceless.
I think I prefer Dwarves, though a few games with Dark Elves occasionally can also be fun, because it's so completely different. Undead are great fun too...

Woodies. I like trying flashy stuff. Mind you I still try it with undead! Mostly , occasional Still if it does come off with the shambling ones, it's jolly good fun!
A mix is best. Play a few games with Dwarves and squish pansy Elves. Then play with Elves and dance rings around the oppo. Then play Gobbos and fling them around with your Trolls / Ogres.
