Minotaurs should be allowed to play for Orc teams? I mean come on, Ogres and Trolls. Do they really fit in?

IMHO, Trolls definitely fit in. Ogres are iffy, I'm starting to be swayed to the idea that Ogres belong on teams that really need them.

Granted I would like to see Minotaurs show up more often than they do, but I really don't see them fitting in to an Orc team.

Imo only trolls should be allowed in orc teams. Of course on the other hand i dont see why Minos should be on delf teams in the first place.

orcs have plenty of options, and minos to me are more of the realm of chaos than of orcdom.

Unless I'm mistaken, according to LRB 2.0, Dark Elves do not have access to Minotaurs.

That is currently true, will it stay that way? For a very long time they were a part of the delf arsenal and even with the addition of 2 blitzers, there are still people who think the delfs need big guys (im not one of them).

I guess I'm hoping for minor changes in future rules review, similar to this past October's reviews.

I really don't want to see dramatic changes to already "Official" rosters. IMHO, the quickest way to frustrate longtime loyal coaches is to mess with their teams that they've spent a lot of time painting/converting/etc.

No team needs a big guy.

But, if you take away the Dark Elfs, then you should take away the rest. They have had big guys for a very long time, and it was an interesting and fluffy part of the team. Dark Elves are known for the use of captured beasts from the chaos wastes (which they live by and where minotaurs live).

The extra blitzers were to bring them in line with the other teams and have 8 positional players. It was compensated for by taking away their free re-roll and the de-powering of frenzy.

The reason why Chaos, Norse, Chaos Dwarfs and Dark Elves all have/had minotaurs is they all live next to/in the chaos wast whrer the minotaus come from. Orcs do not live in that area very much, they tend to like the badlands better.

Why, they are suposed to lose. That is the whole point.

By the fluff Big Guys are not suposed to be any good anyway, causing more turnovers than they create. They are only popular on teams for the carnage they can cause, thus keeping the fans coming to the game.

And even with Big Guys on their roster, they still lose...most of the time.

However, without Big Guys on their roster, one of the most fun aspects of playing the Goblins and the Halflings is gone. Namely, Throw Team-Mate. It may not work most of the time, but when it does, it's spectacular (and when it fails it's hilarious  )

Minotaurs don't really fit into Orcyness IMO, trolls aye, Ogres... hmm.. Not sure, I'd say no due to the already large range of players they have.

So, who should have what?

('Official' teams first)

Amazon -- Ogre/Kroxigor (yeah, I know they have a Unicorn, but bleh) :P
Chaos -- Ogre/Minotaur/Chaos Troll (physical abilities)
Chaos Dwarf -- None
Dark Elf -- None
Dwarf -- None (Increase in Blizter position or maybe a death roller)
Goblin -- Troll
Halfling -- Treeman
High Elf -- None
Human -- Ogre/Treeman
Lizardman -- Kroxigor
Norse -- Ogre/Minotaur
Orc -- Troll
Skaven -- Rat Ogre
Undead -- None
Wood Elf -- Treeman

I can mostly agree with that list except for two points; amazons do fine without Big Guy and have absolutely no need for one and I also don't see any reason at all for giving humans a Treeman

Never played with and only played against Amazons once so I'll happily take your judgement :)

As for the treemen on Human rosters, that was more a 'fluff' thing in reference to the "Barfleys Albion League" with such teams as "Shuffling Woodsday" and "Knotinhem Forest" from 2e ;) But no biggy to drop them :D
