While Norse keep Minos? While Wood Elves keep treemen?

I read your stance and believe it to be incorrect that there is a Big Guy arms race or that you need them.

5 of the top 6 teams in my league have no Big Guy including the #1 team which is a Dwarf roster.

I fail to see why anyone believes there to be an arms race or why so many need removed from teams.

And to answer Redfang's query .... no the MBBL will not be given the Dwarf team extra players for the loss of the Ogre.

In my league the top teams have been running for about twenty games.
All four teams in the top division boast a Big Guy - this includes my dwarfs.
In my experience when one team gets a big guy, the others tend to follow.

As I see it the REAL problem is that teams don't have to give up anything to have a big guy. AS it is, a team isn't "complete" without one. Hence, eventually every team will have one. That, to me is boring. Make teams have to give something up in compensation.

Lets take need and balance out of the equation if you so wish - just have some reason for teams to have to think twice about having a big guy. Maybe reduce my restrictions to one player - a single gutter runner for that Rat Ogre or something.

I'm just sick to the back teeth of big guys being so damn ubiquitous.

Thadrin: A few times in the past, I've proposed a "fix" to the probem you see above. I'd like to see all teams have a big guy and 4 blitzer positions open to them. If they take a big guy, their blitzer positions drop to 2. Wood Elves and Lizardmen could be problematic, but I think it's really a viable solution that would encourage variety.

I don't want EVERY team to have big guy access though.

If they're not really an imbalancing factor, I don't see why every team shouldn't have the opportunity to get them. I know that if I ran DE's, I'd rather have 2 extra blitzers than a treeman, for instance.
