Show us your converted stars players!
The most fun with blood bowl for me was always to try and convert some other miniatures into a decent Blood Bowl team.
Since I finally managed to get all teams, I turned my attention to star players.
And of course, I was converting some from stuff I had or ideas that came to mind.
Pkease excuse my poor pics, my camera is crappy.
I converted Earlice from a blood demons body that has been fitted with arms and head of a ghoul.
Since my whole Skaven team was converted from WH Storm Vermins, I used the leftover minis for the Skaven stars.
This Storm Vermin has some chains and spikey balls attached, taken from Bretonnia and Chaos sprues.
It was a bit tricky to fit two heads onto one neck on the Storm Vermin.
The extra arms were pretty easy in comparison.
My Chaos Dwarves were made from Chaos Warriors with shortened legs.
Since I couldn't find any decent bull bodies, I settled for horses.
Of course, when I added Hthark, he had to blend in, with a Chaos Warrior torso on a horses body.
I found these squig-like creatures at Kromlech miniatures.
Putting a reposed standard goblin on top was easy.
I had some very cheap orc miniatures of a rather low quality lying around.
Since their bodies were a bit more erect and bigger, I took one of those.
Adding a GW orc head and a 40K Buzzsaw was easy.
And I also added some severed heads dangling from his belt on the back from some undead sprue.
Zzharg had to match my Chaos Dwarves just like Hthark had to.
So I went the same route as I did with my CDs: Chaos Warrior with shortened legs.
But these dwarfen canonier arms just fit perfectly to give him his signature blunderbuss.
So far so good.
If you have converted a star player, feel free to add him to this thread.
Everyone like to show off stuff he is proud off, right?
And this thread is also meant to give inspiration to people who want to convert their own Stars too!

Re: Show us your converted stars players!
Great stuff Regash. Sadly my one converted star is in pieces right now and a ways down the painting pile. Same with my deathroller, which I got to re-finish someday. In-laws and a cold bug kept me away from the painting table last week. But hopefully I can start making some progress again this week.

His cloak and arms are from a Nasty Skulker, I carved out the body with dremel and added in the torso from a BB hobgoblin. The head is from another hobgoblin and I added a kroot shoulder pad. Also some greenstuff to fill gaps.Regash wrote:What did you convert it from?spubbbba wrote:Here's one of mine, Rashnak Backstabbet.

That hobgob is nice. Looks like a proper GW mini.

Setek made from Willy Miniatures Setek and one of my favourite GW BB miniatures, their 3rd ed mummy. Previewing the post before posting he is on his side but clicking on him views him on his feet so I hope this works...
