Not true ... I freeboot whenever I feel I have the cash to. Keeps my TR down and gives me someone to use as a tackle zone without worrying about them.Dragoonkin wrote:Nobody ever freeboots anyway, except in playoff games and championships, or if they want to drop their TR but get something for it.

SVBBL has lowered his freeboot price to 25k. Thrud now makes frequent appearances. Even before the price reduction my Goblin team would hire him quite often. Let's face it, he adds a lot of humor and mayhem to any match.wesleytj wrote: since nobody ever takes thrud either, i don't see the harm in adding another completely irrelevant player...if you're really that interested in it.

Yea, a nice Were-bear for Norse. Some Str for a weak bashy team, fits all the fluff, and is just as good as a big a$$ barbarian for a big guy. Why not? Norse are not a great team (but damn they are fun to play), low survivability means not many high TR teams, and a lack of stars. Bears or Barbarians, lets give the Norse something since they were surpassed by the Amazons.

well, not bears; animals should not be playing BB.
That's just stupid.
Still, you can always use the rules for an Ogre, but the figure of a were of your choice or whatever; a friend of mine uses a Confrontation Wolfen figure as his Norse Ogre. It looks great!

Anything that makes Ogres a less common sight would be fine by me. I'd love the Lycanthrope idea, but if there has to be a Bear, it fits better in a Hypothetical Kislev Team. The norsemen should use a werewolf big guy nicely; and I think the necromantic roster doesn't need two different "speedy" players (the Ghouls and the Werewolves). I'd rather see a 6 5 2 8 regen, wild animal, frenzy player as a ravenous werewolf for the Norse (allow it to access some mutations such as Claw or Razor Sharp fangs).

I vote for a werewolf. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know he's on the "Hammer House of Horror" Necromantic team, but whats to stop him being on the Norse roster as well?

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
