(Can't paint there anyway) :)
And that describes exactly the situation I'm in!

I either don't paint at all or can't stop painting. Can't seem to find the balance for "average painting". :)

I do love the mini section just to get ideas for my paint jobs so thx to all posters there - great jobs!

Reading the Mini's forum encouraged me to build my own pitch, I was already tempted after reading the BB Mag article but it is definitely the pics of the stadiums I saw that moivated me.
I made one, it is cooler to play on your own pitch, but it is still not looking good enough. I'll probably build another one when my modeling skills have improved.
So I guess I'm more into the look of the game than before!!!

I've got plenty to paint (1 welf team, 1 undead, 1 khemri, gobbos, finish up a deathroller, a few random delfs to finish up my delf team, a couple of human coaches, a griff... :o ). I haven't had so much time lately, if I can get in a few minutes every day or couple of days I'm happy. Did finish painting my 2ed Skaven, just have to do their bases now.

sometimes I allmost prefer cutting and glueing a team together above painting.. Allmost

The biggest problem I had was motivating myself to paint the plastic minis that come with the game.
The wood elf linemen got that way a bit too, but generally I can't stop painting the things! I have to get new teams just to keep myself occupied once the painting bug bites.

You don't like the plastics that came with the game? They were TONS better than the plastics from 2nd edition, IMHO. I painted up my human plastic team, and they look pretty durn good, if I might say so. Also, I like those figures better than the metal human mini's.

hahaha...the entire line of bb stuff at once is not "a lot to paint". I have 2 bb teams, 6 dark elf regiments (all about 16-20 figs each), a d.e. dragon rider, a manticore, a war hydra, and half a lizardman army...about 4,000 points of lizards. Then there are a few random figs I need to get to for my D&D campaign I'm running (just finished a mind flayer actually) :)...

anyway, THAT's a lot of painting to do. And I'm ordering more saurus cavalry models next week. :o

we're just talking about minis that need painted...doesn't matter where they come from...just because you don't like the game they are in doesn't mean i don't paint them. 8)

that said, i am having some complaints about the last few warhammer books...they are getting away from their promised balance. this was supposed to be the edition of warhammer where all of the armies were relatively equal strength. the last few books are doing that thing where they get progressively better...i always hated that, even if for the moment one of my books (lizards) is on top of the heap.

has anybody looked that thing over?!?! It's SOOOO cheeese-ified!

Wow..wes...those that caught the amount of unpainted BB figs sitting in my cabinet on Longshots video might disagree...I think it was Tim who said we were nearly in travellers league....must have 350-ish unpainted here and somewhere between 200-250 painted...

Oh crap. Now I'm depressed. Must paint more. :P
