What colours are in this Ajax strip? If people could maybe post a pic of the strip they like, could help people decide (especially for people like me who don't know what any English football teams look like).

As long as it's red and white?
I've always rather liked Ajax' strip myself.
We'd never have guessed.

So I take it that Ajax's colours are red and white? Any special designs or devices such as stripes (vertical, horizontal), etc?

Skummy wrote:Sheffield Wednesday? Sheffield Wednesday? That's really a team? You soccer fans sure have some strange team names.
The story I heard that was back in the late 1800's, when the FA (footballs ruling body) were checking teams for the FA cup, the inspector put in his diary "Sheffield - Wednesday". Someone else thought that was the teams name, and put it in the books/on the forms/whatever. The name stuck.

Whether it's true or a football myth I don't know, but it sounds good.

And I've heard some pretty weird college American football names, so you can't talk over there

Anyway, red and white (though it is the colours of by beloved Stampeders) it might not be an interesting enough colour sceme. Anyone suggest something else? I was thinking blue and gold/yellow might look good (maybe add a little red).

Green and yellow quarters (Newton Heaths old colours)

The only problem with green and gold (other than it's the same colours as the hated Edmonton Eskimos), is that most people will then suggest Woodies for the team, which would be fine if we are doing the new elf team (which I suppose could be uesd for either HEs or WEs), but there doesn't seem to be much support for doing an elf team.

If we're talking hockey, San Jose has cool colours, and gives everyone an excuss to use Hawk Turquois on the minis.
