Generally Worthless players
Just wondering what players due to their being over shadowed by other players on thier respective rosters, excessive cost, etc are useless.

Didn't vote coz they're all good!
It just depends on what you do with them. D blitzers are good with their ag 3 (priceless with Dwarves)
skeletons are good to occupy tough players. Put it next to an ogre, BO, LB, CW...just to lay a tacle zone and the others are good also. So nobody's worthless in BB. That's why i like that game.

I'm sorry but IMHO your poll is superflous (at least bc you haven't included an "no, they are all usefull option")
On first sight those players seem overpriced or useless on their rosters but on a second thought you'll get the idea why these players have all a function in their teams.
DE Throwers and Amazon Catchers are the only ones having access to passing respectively agility skills in their team.
Dwarf Blitzers are just two more ball handlers on a dwarf team with STR access (rather than passing)
Skeletons are bonus Linemen. You have the choice btw. them or Zombies. no other Team can chose between two linemen variants.
Orc Linemen: These seem superflous bc. the orc team has access to Goblins. The linemen are ok, they just get underused bc of the sheer variety an orc coach has in building his team.
So, I did not vote at all.

Dwarf Blitzers are very useful players, and I don't think they really even belong on the poll. Orcish lineman are solid, if not flashy players. Amazon catchers are decent running backs. DE throwers are overcosted, but I can't call any 4 AG player worthless.
No, this has to be the skeleton. I don't ever see undead teams take them any more, as Zombies are so much more resiliant, and they generally aren't good for anything more than line fodder.

You guys play TOO many games with the same team.
1) I've never even seen a dwarf blitzer take the pitch
2) no one chooses skeletons over zombies
3) wasting 20k on a DE thrower just doesn't happen until the team is developed way past 150 TR, a lineelf with sure hands is just as good, if not better
4) Orc coaches try to have the LEAST orc lineman as possible on their rosters

I think you're overstating it a bit, but I would agree that the Dwarf Blitzer would always be my 15th and 16th players on my roster... the fact they do not have tackle makes them almost worthless in a hard hitting team..
Quite frankly, I'd rather have 0-4 runners and no blitzers on the team..
this is my current Dwarfline up:

and I rarely even field the blitzers...

I disagree with your statements.
1) Really? Funny, because I field both my Dwarf Blitzers all the time, and they are quite usefull, not only as reserve ball carriers, but as protection for my runners.
2) Skeletons are cheeper than Zombies, and thus make great extra players for your reserves box. Extra players, even when they are the wimpest players on the team, are always valuable.
3) Okay, this may have some merrit, but as stated before, they are the only player on the team that get's access to passing skills. If you plan on a passing game, the passing skills will come in handy.
4) Again, I just don't see this in the games I play in/have watched. Linemen, on any team, do just what their name implies, they hold the line. You NEED them on your team, because they block and throw tackle zones on your opponent. Besides, I think most teams try to max out their position players, doesn't mean they are trying to minimize their linemen.

yeah i generally start with 0 orc linemen actually. goblins are more useful and cheaper.littlemute wrote:You guys play TOO many games with the same team.

but i often actually have 2 or 3 skellies, that extra ma matters on defense sometimes (zombies on the line, tho, of course). Plus I really like some of the skelly conversions i did from an old whfb skelly regiment.
as for the d.e. throwers, they are very much important for a developed dark elf team, just not early on. you don't give them all passing skills, though. Accurate is a good 2nd skill for them, Safe Throw is a good 4th Skill if they get that far. I go sure hands, accurate, dodge, safe throw, block usually. very helpful players on offense and defense.

Later in development I can see getting one, but then you already have a lineman with sure hands and maybe even pass or nerves of steel!
Also, unlike Human, Amazon, Norse and ork throwers, DE throwers by virtue of their price and skill selection won't have block and can't fill the role of a 'skilled lineman' when needed, they tend to be more useless than other races throwers for multi-tasking.
