Orc lineman are not very good at either blocking OR throwing tacklezones on their opponents compared to goblins (for their mobility), blitzers or black orcs.BlanchPrez wrote: You NEED them on your team, because they block and throw tackle zones on your opponent. Besides, I think most teams try to max out their position players, doesn't mean they are trying to minimize their linemen.

woah woah, I think you are missing the point of DE throwers, I don't use them as "skilled lineman" but as. . .Believe it or not. . . a thrower. I either give them NOS, dump off, accurate, dodge, safe throw and have them as a runner, or the familiar: accurate, strong arm, safe throw, dodge, block. He has a role on the team, and he is used for that role.
"That tr 200 chaos team is not going to let me run the ball up the sidelines, time to put in the thrower and switch to a HE offense."
Any linelf that could get NOS or Pass, would be better suited to get guard, or dauntless. I wouldn't waste a double on a skill that I can pay 20k for and get on a regular roll.
I also chose not to vote, as I have uses for all of those players. Dwarf blitzers make my list of good players, because they have more MA than most players on the team. Skels because they have more MA than zombies. DE thowers, as stated, are good. Orc Lineman are good for skills like Kick, DP and leader. I would rather have a few of them, than load up on goblins.

You are right, I realized that not to long after I made my post, and ment to make a retraction on that...Balrog wrote:And skeletons are nice because they have MA 5, which sometimes can make a big difference. Btw, Skeletons and Zombies both cost 30k.

oh judas priest, I'm playing amazons currently and would avoid your team like the plague!Norse wrote: http://bloodbowl.denes.nl/team/teamlist.pl?id=21
and I rarely even field the blitzers...
I was wondering, I watched pele the conqueror a few years ago, and it was subtitled in english. About halfway through, except for a sentence here or there, I didn't need the subtitles anymore and I'd never heard the language before! Is that swedish they're speaking or norwegian?

Same here...being 2 of the 4 AG3 guys on the team tends to make these guys quite valuable.BlanchPrez wrote:1) Really? Funny, because I field both my Dwarf Blitzers all the time, and they are quite usefull, not only as reserve ball carriers, but as protection for my runners.
And I agree with Norse...I'd opt to go with 2 more Runners instead of Blitzers if I was able to, but since I can't these guys are the next best thing.

The end-zone “line of death” does not discriminate when one tempts fate by using a “go for it” to pass over it.

I think that the skellies are useless. I took only zombies for my undeadies because of reasons aforementioned. Don't really need fast suckas when I have 4 wights and 4 ghouls to make a cage and some open receivers. Zombies hold the line better. I think the only reason people take them is cuz they come in the box.

Pelle "the conqueror"? I didn't know they'd exported that one. It's swedish.littlemute wrote: I was wondering, I watched pele the conqueror a few years ago, and it was subtitled in english. Pelle the Conqueror
I hate to disapoint you guys, but the language is danish... For the most part. All the actors except Max von Sydow (swedish) are danes, and speak danish. The movie was made by the danish director Bille August, the original title is Pelle Erobreren (would be Pelle Erövraren if it was swedish) and takes place in denmark.

You pay 10k and lose Tackle for getting MA+1 and AG+1
(and the ability to actually use AG-increases and decent AG-skills on doubles).
Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd really say that you either have not seen any Dwarf-teams on the pitch at all or they were simply coached by nOObs.

Well, at least my AG 4 Dodge Blitzer served the purposes of my former dwarf team very well.

I believe that it's just MA+1 and AG+1, not two MA upgrades, but that is probably just a mistype.Mirascael wrote:You pay 20k and lose Tackle for getting MA+1, MA+1 and AG+1 (and the ability to actually use AG-increases and decent AG-skills on doubles).
Geeze, I'd really say that you either have not seen any Dwarf-teams on the pitch at all or they were simply coached by nOObs.Well, at least my AG 4 Dodge Blitzer served the purposes of my former dwarf team very well.

I'm fully willing to admit to not being a good BB coach, but I have do have a Dwarven team with 7 wins and 3 losses that has beaten teams with 100+ higher team ratings and I have never used Blitzers. I think that it really depends on how you play your team. I never have had occasion to need more than two ball carriers, being able to adequately protect them at all times. I agree that Blitzers definitely add a level of flexibility to a Dwarven team, but I wouldn't say that they are necessary in the least.
Maybe you want to say that my opponents were newbies?

No I don't want to say that at all. I just can't see why 10k and Tackle should be more important then MA+1 and AG+1 (providing more mobility and doubling the number of players who can utilize AG-skills and upgrades), especially if you have zillions of Longbeards anyhow.Jerhod wrote:Well, 2 typos actually, because of my league's house rules...Mirascael wrote:I believe that it's just MA+1 and AG+1, not two MA upgrades, but that is probably just a mistype.
