Okay, I went through all the posts of "Top Three" and here's all the teams mentioned on that list.

Chaos
Humans
Lizardmen
Necromancers
New Elves
Norse
Ogre
Skaven
Werewolves

Now, if we're just listing those teams that got more than one vote, take off Werewolves and New Elves. Note that I put the prision team under the human category. We can decide specifics like conversitions and colours later.

I voted for Skaven, but I'd go with anything except Ogres. I can't afford to buy a $25 fig just to give it away, even to a good cause.

how long should we let voting go until we "close" the poll? so far, our top 3 is Skaven, Chaos and Ogre with Norse and Necros in fourth and fifth

Maybe we should let the poll run for 2 or 3 weeks, then remove the 2 or 3 teams with the fewest votes, then re-poll it.

i think 2 weeks, then discuss the top five again before re-voting. then, knock it down to top 3 after another few weeks. once down to three, we can start discussing the conversion adn team colors we'd like for each. i'd imagine in some cases that someone might be all for a chaos team but change their mind if we decide to make it pink and orange, so discussing color before finalizing a team could be valuable.

Pritchard's on the ball again. I'm with what he said.

Just on a personal note. I too might not be able to do an Ogre team. The $30 or so kiwi pesos it costs for one is ok but then shipping from the states or UK on top of that and one mini is gonna end up costing me as much as some boxed sets. But with any luck I might be able to find an old Warhammer one second hand somewhere and do a conversion...see how it goes.

on a teenager's budget, i hardly had enough for my own ogres, let alone shipping it to europe.
