personally i would have taken one in the first place

and seeing as he has 2 niggles he will be missing a lot of matches, so retiring him will lower your tr which will help with both handicaps and winnings to maintain the rest of the team

I hate wild animals so I try to stay away from them but I agree with grumble he is eating up to much team rating for a player who will only play a third of your matches.

depends on what status your league team is! :o

In the long run, a new one would probably be the best way to proceed

However, if you are close to the playoffs and you would qualify, you should consider different things as well. Does it really help to lower your TR that much to get an extra cap-roll od at least prevents one? How much would the TR of the other teams be?

And I believe a rookie RO will not help you win important games but yours is quite impressive. He would be a strong addition in case he can play. I would like to take that risk against certain teams (!) where he is badly needed.

I would retire the rat ogre too. Two niggles are too much.

As we all know, that chance of niggle affecting the player is not 1:6 but propably 1:2.

...and two niggles make it 1:1 :)

I agree with Grumbledook here, as long as his "would have taken one" was a typo meaning "wouldn't have taken one".

The Play-off issue might be important though.

And the chance for him to niggle is 11/36 btw, that's about 30.5%.

Definitely retire the Rat Ogre and save up for a new one.

Sputnik has it dead-on.

The guy needs to retire (too much TR for a 70% player, as others have pointed out), but wait until the beginning of the next regular season. If you're near the playoffs, wait until they're over.

All of that being said, that RO is a *monster* when he's on the pitch. Good work on his progression! Just a shame that you never got the doubles to give him RSC.
