Orcs vs Khorne, what to do with inducements?
Edit - whoops, just seen the tv difference is slightly less...
Ok first time playing against (or with for that matter) a khorne team. A cyanide league obviously, these chaps are well developed and do half a dozen casualties to the bash teams they face each game. TV 2030, 9 guard pieces, 12 players.
I have a grand total of 2 guards (the developed lineorc and 4 black orcs have all died over the last dozen games) and a rookie black orc missing the game, though 4 developed blitzers, giving me a TV of 1850 and 12 players (Troll, goblin, thrower, 2 lineorcs, 4 blitzers, 3 black orcs).
So what to do about this 180 TV difference?
Option 1 - Sack the MNG BO and hire a new one, spend the remaining on babes
Option 2 - Get a wizard
Option 3 - Do something silly like get bomber, pray to nuffle (plus the black orc)
Option 4 - Something else
How useful would an unskilled str 4 piece be in a game against a team of frenziers loaded with Guard?
And babes a better option here than an apoth? In theory with the armour I should be alright but the team has a depressing tendency to take deaths.
Answers on a postcard, I play tomorrow evening after getting in late tonight.

Ultimately went for new BO and 2 babes - suffered 2 ko's but a MNG (on the tripping up goblin) and a bloodthirsty induced death (on the new black orc).

And the score...? (That's TDs, I know they may easily be forgotten in a Khorne vs. Orc match).
All the best.

Re: Orcs vs Khorne, what to do with inducements?
What? That is important?
2-0. The first half was a grind with a lucky breakaway TD with the ball carrier surviving few blocks and losing 2 black orcs (dead, BH). 2nd half I forgot jugernought cancels stand firm and had 3 players pushed off and 2 more injured (a goblin tripping over on his first dodge and another black orc) but then a lucky dodge and block dealt with the ball carrier and at that moment the Khorne teams armour collapsed and they took half a dozen cas, giving me an easy run in.
Somewhat unfortunately the Khorne team got a player up and running after the ball carrier so I had to score turn 15. On the t16 kick off a thrown rock killed the bloodthirster (a block, MB, pile on, tackle, Guard monster), capping the second half...

Re: Orcs vs Khorne, what to do with inducements?
Thanks, Chris, well done.
Was the Bloodthirster killed, like, permanently (Regen failed, no Apoth)? If so, well done that fan!
Are you able to give us the Khorne roster for this match? A very well developed team, it would appear. But it seems as though all that Guard failed in the end.
All the best.

Re: Orcs vs Khorne, what to do with inducements?
I have never really understood how to get cyanide teams to display their screenshots...
Yep, permadeath. Had used the apoth earlier on a badly hurt to keep it in the game (a fairly innocuous player), and the BT failed it's regen.
Hmm, this might work
http://bbm.jcmag.fr/BloodBowlManager.We ... lang=en-US
It is currently showing the team prior to the match.
All the massed guard was a problem but the orcs just ended up all over the shop and the guard wasn't really bought to bear. And when I started having guys pushed out of bounds it clumped up the Khorne team but with me on the outside corners after the inside guys got surfed (I think 4 in 2-3 turns) and then I got lucky in the hits.
Match stats reflect that luck a bit...

Thanks, Chris, that's great. I think 12 players is too light for a Khorne team, their AV is not high, all except 1 of them are ST3.

Re: Orcs vs Khorne, what to do with inducements?
I think his concern must have been wizards. Another player would have given me one and the rest of the league teams are a similar TV value. Saying that would have made little difference here, the onslaught of cas all hit in the same half. I guess if his positioning works out he has the guard necessary, and most of the bash teams are chaos/nurgle/orcs all lacking guard for one reason or another.
His big decision now is to get a rookie BT or not... I would go for it (is a key part of team theme, but why didn't it get leap as a starting skill?) and with the TV difference you could add in another player with no fear (the poor dear had 120 in TV in skills - including Block and Tackle). But you have got a significantly weaker team without that beast.
