AG4 Human Catcher- what next?

Post by Wilhelm von Klaiserkopf »

I have a catcher- Block, AG+1, Diving Catch. His next advance is looming large, and I can't decide what skills to consider. Please... help me...

I would say possibly Side Step/Sure Feet on a normal roll, and Jump Up on a double.

I'd think about leap as well, NOS on doubles.

Diving Catch seems a bit of a waste for me. Did you pick that one after the AG+?

How about something different? Strip Ball on a normal roll or Dauntless on a double. Follow it up with leap next.

leap, dauntless or NOS on double depending on your playing style

or pray for +1MA - MA9 AG4 is lethal. If you get +1MA then definitely get sprint after that, you can do 1 turn TDs with a quick snap KO result which usually catches opponents out as they don't expect humans to be able to do that.

Jump Up rocks too.

I took diving catch after the AG+, and I took it because my throwers aren't too experienced yet, so he has to go throwing himself around to catch a whole lot of inaccurate throws, If he's within range to get a TD, I can throw a long bomb with my AG3 throwers and still have a decent chance of ctaching it.

Side Step as a skill, Dauntless or NoS on a double (personally, I'd take NoS and hope for a Dauntless-doubles on the other Catcher later).

I'd go with leap. But that's me...

Nice to be able to go OVER the defence...

Regular skill could be Sure Feet or Sidestep. Attractive doubles choices are Jump Up, Dauntless and Nerves of Steel. I really believe that with a player this this kind of player, there really isn't a "wrong" skill choice, and it depends on your play style.

That said, I also believe that a team needs to shore up their weaknesses. It is fairly easy to score with a human team, so they need help on defence. Sidestep and Dauntless could become attractive choices.
