Amazing tournament and a big thank you to Sascha and his team. From my point of view it was a nearly perfect organization. Only the long break after game 6 was annoying. I had some very interesting games, e.g. Floridaboy (DB-winner '04 and '05), Indigo (who deserved the most-sporting-award) and of course Bärbel.

The dungeon (i love this dungeon, the creators have done a great job!) was very hard for dwarfs with approximately 24x33 fields. And especially when Bärbel found the ball in turn two :o . But an annoying blitzer :lol: , her early (and from my point of view unnecessary) usage of the re-rolls :wink: and a little bit bad luck (risky gfi) :smoking:, gave me the chance to take over the ball.

At least there was one game-winning aspekt for the dwarfs: Slayer! Pushing 3 saurus and 1 skink into the lava and making 1 cas was a big advantage. Bärbel played a fast and straight game after finding the ball, but losing so much players because of my slayers "broke her the neck" after losing the ball.

@Mootaz
And Bärbel would have won the whole thing, but her Skink had to roll a 1 on the crucial GFI and broke its neck

If the GFI had worked, she would have been out of reach of the Dwarves and would have scored an easy TD.
That's not right, one of my blitzers would have been in Blitz-range, but with two go-for-it's. :pissed: And a push would have been a touchdown for Bärbel! :cry: So it was her great chance, but not a safe one.

@lucifer

Thank you. I had hoped to play against you and taking "revenge" for my brother (Girathon, amazon player last year) but maybe next year. :D

Personally I think the sportsmanship was AWESOME this year :)

But seriously, I think that the general tournament scene is made up of good sports. However, the majors are different - they attract a lot of people who may not be as familiar with "accepted" standards of sportsmanship. Maybe then it makes some sense to have sportsmanship affect the final standings?

I agree though, there's no way I should be placed 2nd with a 3-2-1 record...

I'd second that with a similar 3-2-1 record and a 30-odd placed finish. :oops:

Any idea when the results will have found their way into the NAF rankings?
I know there where a lot of new NAF members and games to be entered, so
Iam just curious.

Hey Tim, the week is nearly over but nothing happend :-? If you need any help - please ask for it! It es very unpleasant to wait more than 3 weeks for the changes in the NAF rankings.

Patience - do you mean that Guns N' Roses song? :wink:

Sorry Tim, I didn't want to be rude. But in my opinion the NAF ranking is part of a tournament. Waiting for the changes in the rankings for weeks is not the best publicity for the tournament. And to be earnest, I don't like waiting for so long :wink:
